On the heels of cinematic Bad Bunny hype, it’s time to talk about Ladrones again.
The Guadalajara-based act mixes Latin hip-hop alike the aforementioned Puerto Rican artist, with rap metal and djent. Their Mexican Pesado album was a highlight of last year, and also reminded me of Volumes or Spiritbox.
Ladrones have been putting out a bunch of collaborations lately (Yng Naz, Muñeki77a), but the best new single is “Cypher 1,” featuring Spanish rapper Santa Salut.
Chugging After the Burial guitar riffs enhance a catchy rap showcase – it’s phenomenal, kudos to all three vocalists.
