The Austrian quartet Tripsitter will be releasing their debut album, The Other Side of Sadness, on April 19th via Prosthetic Records. The LP was recorded live inside a cabin and was later mixed by Lewis Johns (Employed To Serve, Svalbard) and mastered by Brad Boatright (Converge, Code Orange).
The group recently dropped the album’s second single “Remains” at Revolver. The song’s malicious post-hardcore atmosphere dips into black metal moments before revealing a softer, shoegaze side like a more straight-forward Deafheaven or abrasive Being as an Ocean. The extreme and raw musicianship that collides with the melodic guitarwork is quite dynamic and undeniably impactful. You can hear the piece and check out the group’s upcoming European tour dates below as well.
