Based out of Szczecinek, Poland, Materia has accomplished much since their formation in 2007. They have released an EP, two LPs, performed at Sonisphere Warszawa 2010 (Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, Anthrax, Behemoth, etc.), Wacken Open Air 2015 (Judas Priest, Opeth, Combichrist, Avatar, Suicide Silence, etc.), and Euroblast 2016 (Animals as Leaders, Born of Osiris, Veil of Maya, Volumes, Heart of a Coward, etc.) as well as curating their own festival Materiafest, which has included the likes of Behemoth, Decapitated, Riverside, Textures, Monuments, and more.
Now, the band are preparing for the release of their third full-length album, The Rising. Materia has also just put out the single “Rosa Alba,” which sounds like a modern Meshuggah on cocaine. You can check out the music video for the track below.
