Hailing from Cape Town in South Africa, Dream Demon is a metalcore act with influences from modern acts like recent Bring Me The Horizon or I See Stars as shown through the whirring synths and poppy clean vocals.
In the band’s recently released single “Red Flags,” metallic riffs and Erra-like screams clash with the sickly, sweet vocal hooks. While the more catchy parts may be too far on the radio-friendly side of the spectrum for some metalheads, the group blend in heavy aspects rather smoothly to make for a cohesive piece.
