From Hanoi in Vietnam, Windrunner is a metalcore/djent group consisting of Duong Bui (vocals), Trung Tôn (guitar), Nam Dao (guitar), Híu NT (bass), and David Hudd (drums). They dropped their debut LP Mai just last year via Famined Records and the band are continuing that momentum with a new EP titled Sen coming out this year on August 23rd.
The closing track off the aforementioned Mai LP was “Lotus,” which displayed the band’s progressive metalcore tendencies and songwriting skills. For this upcoming EP though, Windrunner are taking that same track and peeling back its in-your-face heavy elements to reveal a more vocal-focused piece.
