Russian prog/post-metal act Ninthshaft have been on our radar since last year and recently dropped a new album. Their latest LP is titled The Thing and is now able to stream everywhere.
More recently, they dropped a live video for a track off the aforementioned record. “Trapped” boasts larger than life guitar riffs and beastial vocals reminiscent of the variety in Ihsahn‘s solo material. Overall, the music swings between modern prog in the groovy vein of Tesseract or Vildhjarta and more sludge-laden acts like Intronaut.
