Confess is a metal act that originally formed in Tehran, Iran back in 2010. However members of the band were arrested in 2015 by the Army of the Guardians of the Islamic Revolution, being charged with “blasphemy, advertising against the system, running an illegal and underground band and record label promoting music considered to be Satanic, writing anti-religious lyrics and granting interviews to forbidden foreign radio stations.” Nowadays, members Nikan “Siyanor” Khosravi and Arash “Chemical” Ilkhani are residing in Norway.

Regardless of the band’s unfortunate run-in with oppressive forces, we’re excited that they’re still able to release music. Just recently, they dropped a new single titled “Eat What You Kill,” which brings a Slipknot-like energy with hard-hitting classic death metal as a foundation.
