Dating back to the 14th century, the Italian island of Poveglia served as a quarantine site, where ships would drop off diseased passengers, particularly those suffering from the infamous Bubonic Plague. Over the years, Poveglia transitioned from being a home for the infected to a destination for the mentally ill. A hospital built on the island was wrought with mistreatment, experiments, lobotomies, etc. With a rich history of disease and abuse, Poveglia Island nowadays is abandoned, yet occupied with many reports of paranormal hauntings.
“Ravenous Shores: Whispers of the Quarantine Island” explores the dark lore of the aforementioned Poveglia through modern Decapitated-level intensity. Feel the impact of the viciously burdened single by Eternal Returns below.
