While tonally different than the black metal pioneers of Mayhem or Gorgoroth, there is a similar mystery and intrigue surrounding Bliss-Illusion, the ‘Buddhist Post-Black Metal’ group from Beijing. It is rumored that their next full-length record will release in 2024 (Xiao interview).
Directed by Zhuo Shu, a recently released 14-minute documentary provides a behind-the-scenes glimpse at Blind-Illusion‘s recent hometown performance, alongside Sanqing (and material from vocalist Dryad’s project, Tassi).
