Progcore quartet Infected Rain have emerged from Chișinău to deliver to deliver an experimental nü metalcore sound from their 2011 release Asylum to the latest full-length, Time (February 9 via Napalm Records). Lena Scissorhands crawls from a Static-X to Spiritbox vocal range.
While the growls and melodies may allure, it is the emotional and physical vulnerability on display in their recent video that truly seals the deal. “Because I Let You” shows Lena nearly bare, and cut-open, with a large mid-section wound. It doesn’t take much imagination to realize what this visually, metaphorically represents. Nonetheless, it is exceptionally powerful.
The “Because I Let You” music video is directed and edited by Vadim Ojog, with cinematography by Evgeniy Dedkov and make-up by Svetlana Golovca.
