It’s official; the Jesenice-based group Within Destruction have transcended from their early slam-deathcore days to a new, nü-metalcore sound. Emerging on their 2020 self-released album titled Yōkai, an anime-driven identity has been perfected on the Slovenian trio’s new single.
Teaming up with the Crunchyroll streaming platform, the music video for their new single – “Animetal” – features an original mecha design animated by BLUV.
You can also expect dramatically dynamic, dual vocals by frontman Rok Rupnik and guitarist Howard Fang (ex-Defying Decay). Shining with a modern, melodic, and glitchy beatdown sound, akin to Brand of Sacrifice, this is the perfect single for newcomers.
We’re hoping to hear this track live soon as the band is arguably the most extreme act on the lineup of the upcoming Summer Slaughter US run with Veil of Maya, Tallah, Cabal, Brat, etc.
