Turn on, tune in, drop out for Brazilian Psychedelic Death Metal: “Psychonaut” by SIRIUN

Earlier this year, the Rio de Janeiro-based group Siriun dropped their album Psychonaut. Frontman Alexandre Castellan, drummer Braulio Drumond (Dorsal Atlântica), guitarist Djavan Fernandes, and bassist Marcos Medeiros blend prog, groove, and melodic death metal, as if Opeth, Lamb of God, and Job for a Cowboy meshed together, on the 13-track collection, mastered by Mark Lewis (Whitechapel, The Black Dahlia Murder, Fallujah).

Hearing a lot of bands that are up your alley? Give their acid-astral projection visualizer for the title track a watch now. Is it a bummer that was creating using AI? Sure. But, is it still a heavy fucking trip, no psychedelics needed? Definitely.
