The Best Metal Singles of September 2025: Czech Metalcore, Indian Hardcore, Mexican Mathcore

Apparently, it is core-month. Let’s throw fists, scream, and breakdown with some solid singles, from East Europe and Asia to Latin America.

Bronze Tier: Metal Single of the Month – September 2025

Lyvonia

“Umbral”

Released via Industry Records

Based in Martinez de la Torre, Veracruz & Puebla, Mexico

Like the frantic mathcore scenes of yesterday, Lyvonia is exceptionally anxious in rhythm, while delivering the sweet duality of two vocalists. With a sickly-sweet Spanish chorus bearing such an addictive melody, “Umbral” beckons many repeat listens for those with chaotic in their musical pallete.

Silver Tier: Metal Single of the Month – September 2025

If Hope Dies

“Whirlwind”

Self-released

Based in Sukna & Namchi, India

You know, I know, everyone knows… hardcore is back, even in India. Donning a Kublai Khan tank top, screamer Aakash Sherpa is so fucking intimidating in new single – “Whirlwind.” His presence across the first half of this no-mercy beatdown is commanding. The truly unexpected twist is the halfway point, where the a nü-electronic element possesses the track. Killer song. And simple, but brilliant video by Samir Chettri.

FFO: Knocked Loose, Tallah, The Acacia Strain

Gold Tier: Metal Single of the Month – September 2025

Abbie Falls

“unnatural order” feat. Distant

Released via Out of Line Music

Based in Prague, Czechia

I’ve recently ranted about the uprising metalcore scene in the streets of Prague. Right now, Abbie Falls sits on the throne of that regional sound. Teaming up with Alan Grnja of Dutch-Slovenian deathcore group Distant, the “unnatural order” single sounds huge and undeniably combative. Lung-punch synths have a chokehold on crusher riffs, fueling Tomáš Klár’s growls and emotional pleas. This is modern metalcore on good cocaine; try it.

FFO: Angelmaker, Darko, Within Destruction
