A Goa-based group is expanding the reach of modern metalcore, from arena choruses to fatal breakdowns. Within Ceres has shared the stage with other Indian acts like Gutslit and Zygnema over the years, and are now unveiling “Kowloon.”
The single boasts bewildering screams and croons by the infamous hammerhead vocalist – Arnold Carvalho. I also have to give major kudos and credit to composer Odin De Sa’s lush, prog-chug dynamics.
Cinematographers Devang Nagarkar and Suraj Jadhav capture the four members’ (including Aaron Braganza and Samar Shinde) energy on “Kowloon,” surely a treat for fans of Spiritbox, Loathe, or even Turnstile.
