Hailing from Saint-Petersburg, Russia, Bite the Goat is a progressive deathcore act that will be releasing their EP titled Goatcalypse later this year. The band just dropped a single off the EP called “Black Chasm.”
The orchestral swells in the intro remind me of the progressive tendencies of The Faceless, but they head in a more deathcore direction similar to early Veil of Maya or Within the Ruins. The intricacies that are propelled by the enormous chugging riffs are definitely having me keep an eye on this project for when the full EP comes out. Check out the lyric video below.
