Skypunch is an ambient metalcore group hailing from Bangalore, India with a lineup which consists of Issac James (vocals, synth) and Krishna Dass (guitar).
This metal duo released their new masterpiece called Yugen. The EP contains 7 excellent tracks which are an extravagant trip into the world of exotic synths and progressive guitar riffs. In the similar stratum of bands like Skyharbor and Tesseract, they blend in pulsating drums with catchy guitars and excellent vocals. I feel like the vocalist could have easily slipped into the generic sound that most metalcore vocalists come up with but managed to create a fine signature sound of his own making. They surely look like the future of Indian metalcore.
