Anastasis Take a Calmer Path Opposed to Their Alternative/Nu-Metal Roots in “Liar” Lyric Video [Poland]

Anastasis

From Legnica in Poland, Anastasis is an alternative metal act consisting of Waldemar Bolesta (vocals), Mateusz Radomski (vocals), Daniel Jarzębak (guitar), Jerzy Rymarczuk (guitar), Tomasz Terlega (bass), and Dawid Wojciechowski (drums). They formed back in 1998 and have had quite the variety of styles develop throughout their discography leading up to their most recent album Don’t Be Afraid, which dropped last year. While their earlier albums experimented in the industrial and nu metal world alike Coal Chamber, Rammstein, or Taproot, this new material expands towards incorporating grunge and alt rock with their 90’s/early 2000’s metal foundation.

Just recently, they put out a lyric video for the track “Liar” off Don’t Be Afraid. Although a good chunk of the record is comparable to some weird amalgamation of Alice in Chains, Soulfly, and Sevendust, this single is certainly the most radio-friendly and agreeable. Check it out below and if it comes off a bit too safe for your tastes, definitely check out the rest of the album because it’s impressively all over the place and I wish I had discovered this group earlier.
