There’s a superb surplus of female-fronted metal oozing out of Ukraine. Jinjer, Ignea, and 0%Mercury all have unbelievable energy and recent prolific output, especially while enduring an unjust ongoing invasion.
The aforementioned mathcore act 0%Mercury took the stage at Wacken last month, alongside other internationals including the Uruguayan headbangers Forastero Western Metal, Latvian melodic metalcore band Sever, and more. Conjuring the combative spirit of The Dillinger Escape Plan, the Kharkiv-based quartet pelted the rain-laden crowd with panic chords and purposeful shrieks.
