One-Man Polish Band INRAE Conjures a Progressive Death Metal Version of “Black Celebration” by DEPECHE MODE

Szymon Dardziński leads the one-man progressive death metal project Inrae, hailing from Białystok in Poland. Earlier this year, Szymon unveiled the debut album titled Will Made Flesh, with features by Mateusz Sibila (vocals; Imperial Sin), Krzysztof Klingbein (drums; Batushka, Belphegor, Totenmesse, etc.), Julian Konowalski (keys), and Agata Laskowska (violin).

Bringing Cynic or Existesque death metal riffs and ingenuity across the first four tracks, the record closes with the a triumphantly heavy cover of Depeche Mode‘s “Black Celebration.” You can hear the prog-death incarnation of the 1986 post-punk track at the 26-minute mark.
