What’s happening in the Colombian metal scene?
Eta Carinae is an extreme project currently consisting of Tutto Guerrero (vocals; Shroud of Impurity), Juan Cruz (guitar; Encounter Truth), Alejo Hernández (guitar; Carácter), Marck López (bass; ex-Eternal War), and Nabz Baquero (drums; Psicofónico). They are slowly gaining momentum for their Gorguts–Ingested tech-death sound, showcased within the scene alongside other Colombian metallers such as Tears of Misery, Loathsome Faith, Solegnium, Endless Genocide, Brinicle, etc.
Furthermore, vocalist Tomas Pérez from the metalcore acts Blood May Rise of Medellín and Syracusæ from Bogotá, featured on Eta Carinae‘s single “Distorsión del Macrocosmos,” which brings Beyond Creation bass mastery to the technical avant-garde, brutal death metal.
