HYPER PLANET: The New Metalcore-Hip Hop-Electronic Music Festival in Japan…

The age of maximalist music festivals is upon us, now reaching the shores of Tokyo Bay. Hosted within the Makuhari Messe convention center of Chiba City, Hyper Planet is the next generation’s destination for experimental, heavy modern music.

On February 2nd, Japanese metal pioneers Crossfaith will be joined by others within the metalcore, hip hop, and electronic scene including Maximum the Hormone, Coldrain, SiM, Paledusk, Sable Hills, Age Factory, Enth, Ralph, Jin Dogg, and View from the Soyuz.

The lineup also boasts international subheadliners Underoath, Enter Shikari, Wargasm, and Zardonic.

This past year, Crossfaith released arguably one of their most notable records – AЯK, via UNFD, featuring hit “Zero” and personal favorite “DV;MM¥ SY5T3M…” Furthermore, we witnessed the superb albums including Playdead by SiM, Sable HillsOdyssey, and the Palehell EP by Paledusk.

Apparently, more artists are planned to be added to the Hyper Planet, so keep your eyes peeled and dive in to the aforementioned records in the meantime.
