We Chose Our Favorite Singles of the Month… and then BLOODYWOOD Dropped a Banger Single About Indian Food …fuck.

If you hadn’t yet seen, we just revealed our picks for the best singles of January 2025 – go check it out; there’s some solid groove metal and metalcore from New Zealand, Estonia, and Singapore. The most difficult pill to swallow is… we should have waited! Indian metal pioneers just blew us away with a new single – “Tadka.”

What is tadka? I guess I’m missing out because I’m not familiar with the dish… or cooking technique? I’m hella white and I don’t know what I’m talking about – but, Bloodywood does! Dual vocalists Jayant Bhadula and Raoul Kerr scream sing all about the spice superiority.

Composer / multi-instrumentalist Karan Katiyar continues to kill it with catchy dynamics, mastered by Ted Jensen (Ghost, Alice in Chains, Gojira). Bloodywood are endlessly impressive, and considering this new single as well as the previous “New Delhi” and “Bekhauf” collab with Babymetal, it’s undeniable that the Indian act are the most noteworthy cultured metal force today.

The new video is directed by Kushagra Nautiyal with further credits including Athul Sudhakaran, Wikki Koul, and Siddharth Nayak. Mark your calendars for Bloodywood‘s upcoming record Nu Delhi, dropping on March 21st via Fearless Records.
