The Epitome of Modern Metal: Mexico City’s EVERLIGHT + René Montt

Translated to strangers, “Extraños” is the new single by Everlight – the beacon of modern metal in Mexico City. Threatening, alluring frontwoman Beth Del Viento pulls the strings of the four-piece, finding inner balance between Spiritbox, The Contortionist, and Poppy.

Drummer Adrián Luján joins guitarists Carlos Loera and Oscar Luján on the catchy, djent-y song. Directed by Benjamín Luna, the video reveals an astronaut (protagonist?) and a guest solo by René Montt (Yelofi).

Circling the local Mexican metal scene circuit for years, playing shows with the likes of Anima Tempo or at the Jinjer-headlined Aztech Mictlán Fest, Everlight are due for international acclaim – especially in response to this addictive new single.
