Representing Pune since 2015, Kasck is an Indian thrash act fronted by Mayank Katare with bassist Vishal Prabhu and drummer Rahul Singh (Kill the King). The trio’s been quite active across the past decade, sharing the stage with the likes of Jinjer, Bloodywood, Cynic, Demonic Resurrection, and Suffocation, as well as an appearance at Germany’s infamous annual Wacken festival.
With the chaos and aggression of early Sepultura or Exodus, their new single “Be Quick or Be Dead” is an absolute banger. There’s a youthful and undeniable venom in Mayank’s commanding vocals, almost reminiscent of Lemmy. While Kasck just wrapped up a mini-tour hitting Malaysia and Singapore, I hope these wild thrashers can keep spreading their energy internationally.
