Derek Sherinian has had a very prolific career in the prog rock/metal scene, most notably for his time in Dream Theater, yet also in acts including Sons of Apollo, Yngwie Malmsteen, Alice Cooper, and more. More recently, Sherinian contributed to the Sphere of Resonance EP by Greek guitarist Stelios Gatziolis.
While the EP was released last year, we now have a stream video of “Doomgazer,” which features a keyboard solo by Sherinian. The prog-fueled banger certainly holds elements similar to Dream Theater, but also holds a more modern feel in the vein of Animals as Leaders or Night Verses. Check out the single below.
