From Auckland, up-and-coming metal act Unwanted Subject has just dropped a new single, revealing their stance on Israel’s current genocide of the Palestinian. The quintet aggressively protests, finding balance between the grooves of Lamb of God and the melodic dynamics of Killswitch Engage.
“Ceasefire” is catchy and pointed, using metalcore to encourage some form of peaceful solution. Kudos to the vocal duality of Gerrit Nel and Ryan James.
One can only imagine more music to be created in reaction and response to the modern war crimes occurring by Israeli government.
