In the 90’s, the Norwegian black metal was brought to international attention after numerous church burnings. Infamous bigot Varg Vikernes of the pioneering project Burzum was found guilty for at least three acts of arson. Could church burnings be returning to the black metal scene in modern day?
Based out of Costa Rica, frontman Dusk leads the industrial black metal project, accompanied by Shaman (vocals), Implacable (guitar; Advent of Bedlam) and Pàlak (bass). Their discography ranges from glitchy Mick Gordon intensity to torture dungeon atmospheres.
It was recently unveiled that their upcoming album, Industrie, will feature six title tracks and a cover of Mayhem‘s “Freezing Moon.” The full record will drop on May 21st. For now, you can get a taste of the Blut Aus Nordesque “Industrie II” and the accompanying with video, showing footage of a burning building (potentially a church?).
